Originally Bought New in 1995 for $700.00.
My philosophy about buying guitars is that you shouldn't buy it unless it really feels right...it's kind of like falling in love - you don't want to commit until you're sure you've found the right one. I was torn between getting a Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul and then I found the Nighthawk. It seemed to be the best of both worlds at the time, and really, I think it lived up to that. Though I switched to bass to play in a couple bands...now I'm back to guitar and as I test out other Les Pauls and Fender Jazzmasters...my new dilemma...I still can't find one that is more playable w/ as good of a sound. It's been my main guitar for 13 years now. I really don't understand why this guitar didn't catch on more...maybe it doesn't look as cool as the Les Paul or Strat to some, who knows. Anyway, as I think about moving on, it's going to take a mighty fine guitar to top this one.
