This is a cracking little guitar. Mine is a 3/4 length version which has a great tone, and a beautiful, slim neck that is the fastest and nicest I've ever played. It IS a Fender mustang, minus the patented Fender bridge, but who really uses a tremelo these days anyway? It certainly doesn't go out of tune as often as a trem model and doesn't require a complicated locking down procedure to render it inoperable, a la Kurt Cobain. It's a Mustang with a simple, low maintainance bridge. I've not played a '60s Mustang, but I can tell you that my vintage Duo-Sonic II plays immeasurably better than the new Japanese Mustangs, and indeed, better than all of the modern US Fenders I've played recently (Jaguar, Telecaster, Stratocaster). I love mine and wouldn't part with it.
I would like to know what they go for these days in the UK, though, just for reference. They are a very under-rated, under-valued, and (due to them being broken for Mustang parts) increasingly rare guitar. Mustang's of the same age as mine go for over a grand, in the UK.

Best little guitar I ever had. I still look for it everywhere. I wish I would have kept mine now I'm sorry I didn't . Does any one know where I might find one. I bought mine in Dec. 1968. It was White with a red pick gaurd. Later on I had it painted orange which I regret.
