The wildest of all the American Vintage Hot Rod guitars, this resto-custom axe starts with an American Vintage '57 Stratocaster and ties together several generations of Strat customizations in one killer player's instrument. It has a slim V neck profile with satin-finish back, 9.5" fingerboard radius, and medium-jumbo frets to boost the playability. The souped-up electronics roar with Samarium Cobalt Noiseless guitar pickups at the neck and mid along with a DiMarzio Tone Zone pickup at the bridge, plus the second tone control is wired to the bridge pickup. A top-of-the-line thin-skin nitrocellulose lacquer finish gives it the right look. The rest is true-blue '57 Strat: comfort-contoured alder body, maple neck with vintage C profile, Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners, single-ply white pickguard, and chrome hardware.
The U.S. Vintage Hot Rod Series from Fender creates new instruments but with looks, specs, and features that make them feel as if you were the third owner of a vintage instrument. Here's your chance to own that beautiful player's electric guitar but in brand new shape and freshly set-up from the Fender factory. |

Gibson Shmibson's Style: Rock, Blues, Reggae
Last year I bought, and reviewed, an American Stratocaster (the 60th ann. model). I said that after ten years of looking I finally found the perfect guitar. Then this year fender came out with these babies! The modified V-neck is so slim and fast that I was a better player the fist time I picked it up. The pickup combination is awesome and when I play it through my Hot Rod Deluxe I swear it is the best Fender vintage tone I have ever heard. Finish is flawless and the overall quality is impressive. My only complaint was the 1 and 1/2 months and three attempts to send one that wasn't already opened and returned (one was even missing the protective plastic on the pick guard). For the $ I like to be the first one to open it.

RockerDude42's Style: classic rock, blues, jazz
This guitar is literally like an old hot rod. It has the specs that make the guitar (or car) a classic, but still has modern improvements to make it overall even better sounding and fun to play

D. Gilmour Jr.'s Style: Rock
I am a huge fan of David Gilmour so I new that i had to have this guitar (Along with a 55 Gold Top Paul, 57 Lake Placid Blue strat, and more). I bought this and the first thing I did was replace the pick-ups for active EMG's. It is AMAZING! I couldn't be happier. This is the exact guitar he used in the 1995 live video P*U*L*S*E.
