Les Paul Classic Guitar

All the sumptuous ingredients that made the Les Paul name great are in the Gibson Les Paul Classic Electric Guitar in spades: a skillfully carved maple top on a mahogany back perfectly joined to a mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard, all powered by a 496R ceramic humbucker in the front and a 500T at the bridge. And the Classic goes a few steps farther with green tuning keys, amber top-hat knobs, plain cream pickguard, true '60s slim-tapered neck, and trapezoid fretboard inlays. Gold hardware on ebony; nickel hardware with all other finishes.

SlashFan2008's Style: Heavy, Hard, Southern, Classic, and Soft Rock

I Got this guitar for christmas 2006 and it's mid-summer 07 and i love this guitar. I gave it a 9 for features because it has all i need except it has three channels available, but when both hums are on (mid channel) you can barely here the 496. So basiclly, you can only use the bridge and the neck sepreatly. The quality is great - It's a Gibson, I wouldn't expect any less. The value is only a nine, because the guitar costs alomost 2,000, but once again it's worth it. The 500T at the bridge is def. heavy metal stock. I'm not even thinking about get a Seymour or EMG, this one ROCKS!! Great Guitar, And WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

Guitarbro's Style: Everything

Ive owned my les paul classic for about two years and ive been more than satisfied. The resonance, sound and action is simply beautiful. I bought the bullion gold and it looks like a vintage paul. The tuning keys hold tune very well, and adjustomatic bridge keeps intonation easy.

Deaf in one ear's Style: Rock, Blues, Metal

I have always played metal type music but have been reluctently selling my Jacksons, and ESP's for more classic type sounding guitars as I transition into the classic rock music. I always stayed away from Les Pauls because of the thought that they were not hot guitars. Boy was I wrong my paul will play anything and I do not know why I waitied 29 years to finally own one. I recomend this guitar you will be really satisfied with its tone, action, and its looks worth every penny you will spend on it.
