Stratocaster Guitar

Columbia Broadcast Systems, Inc.- or CBS- became the owners of Fender on January 5, 1965. Most consider this the beginning of the dark age of Fender. It did not happen overnight, but gradually; a little bit here, a little bit there. Changes started the first year, with the backplate and the reverse "F" appearing about mid-year. By the end of the year, the large headstock was in full production.
