Anonymous Musician's Style: blues / funk / rock
This is one of the most versatile guitars in the stratocaster range ever produced by Fender. The tone and sustain are beyond compare and the neck is fast and gloriously smooth. Apart from the unique pickups (for a strat) the most notable features are the Freeflyte bridge, push button switching (allowing all 7 pickup combinations) and the MDX/TBX tone control which activates the active pickups.
The only real downside to this beauty is the apparent lack of tuning stability when using the tremolo arm (this is the only reason it didn't get 10 in every box!). Otherwise it is a really versatile, rock solid classic Strat. Don't listen to detractors who malign anything pre-CBS, this is a magnificent guitar with a range of tones to suit just about any style.
