Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the celebrated SG2000 and SG1000, Yamaha US has released the SBG2000 and SBG1000 guitars. Both models are individually handcrafted by the highly skilled master luthiers of the Yamaha Music Craft workshop in Hamamatsu, Japan. The one new feature that has been added to the SBG series is Yamahas Initial Response Acceleration which is a Yamaha technique that accelerates the maturing process of the guitar creating tonal sweet spots and increased stability, which allows the guitar to rapidly develop its unique personality as if it has been played for years.

Christopher Allan's Style: Pick Floyd ambient kind of music

I have been playing guitars for over 30 years. These guitars are better than any Les Paul or Fender I have ever played.. I currently own about 40 guitars and as far as Electrics are concerned this one is the best playing guitar I have ever played. I have three other older Yamaha SG series guitars that are simply amazing guitars. The craftmaship is second to none. I highly recommend these guitars and I garauntee you if you buy one you will never go back to Gibson Les Pauls..:) I believe these have been named Les Paul Killers... and for good reason.
They are much supperior guitars.
